Do I have to donate?

This is a tough question to answer. You don't have to donate, but Everydns.net is a free service and if nobody donated we wouldn't exist.

Here are a couple of reasons you might want to donate:

• You want the ability to modify your TTLs.
• You believe in the premise that the internet is a good place where people support each other.
• You want to increase your karma.
• You want to create dozens of domains.
• You use the service and feel that $15-$20/year is a reasonable amount to ask.
• You use everydns.net to power a site that generates revenue for you.

We can't force you to donate and we won't beg for it either. If donations stop covering the costs of the service then we'll be unable to provide it. As we've grown in size our costs have as well. So far donations have been inline with expenses and we hope it stays that way.

If 1 percent of all users donated there would be plenty of money to pay for the servers and the bandwidth consumed by the service. Be a part of that 1 percent!
